Helpinator Features:
You can compile built-in program help, online help and printable documentation from single source.
Templates are stored inside project file. Separate templates are used to generate CHM/HTML and PDF/RTF documentaion. You can easily edit any template and add your own.
All features of professional text editor are available. Edit font styles, font color and background, insert tables, images and even Flash movies.
You can add any image to the library and reuse it in several different topics by placing pseudo-tag where you want this library image to appear.
Text snippets (or includes) are like library images. You can define and edit them in the library and use in multiple topics.
CHM files look more professional when topics contain links to next and previous topics for easier navigation. Users appreciate that.
More advanced professional features make your documentation perfect. "Breadcrumbs" contain links to parent topics for quick access. "See Also" list at the end of the topic contains links to topics that have the same keywords as the current one.
For example, you can use a variable named "VERSION" and place it where you want your program version number to appear. Helpinator replaces it with version number at compile time.
Helpinator comes with command-line utility "chelpinator.exe" that you can use to compile help using batch files.
